Senior journalist and Geo news’ ‘Capital Talk’ show host Hamid Mir is attacked in Karachi minutes after reaching from Islamabad on Saturday (April 19, 2014). He was operated to retrieve bullets from his body and doctors described his condition “stable.”
Amir Mir, brother of Hamid Mir, told Geo News channel that the country’s intelligence agency ISI chief Lt.-Gen. Zaheerul Islam “masterminded” the attack on the journalist for reason that the ISI was “unhappy” with Hamid Mir for his views on enforced disappearances, Balochistan situation and the military’s interference in political affairs of the country.
